Leave a Comment A few weeks ago, while I was hacking around with SafeDisc copy protection on my laptop with Windows 7, after a few hours, I shut it down for I disabled all unnecessary services (especially the search indexer and task scheduler) and background processes to speed things up. Since Windows was installed with the controller set to a non-RAID mode, when it was switched to RAID, Windows would crash on boot since it didn't have a driver for the I powered it down for about half an hour.
If that doesn't work, I'm stumped. I reran the bootrec commands and the last one still says 0 windows installations. Last known hardware config doesn't work, neither does Gerrits trick.
