I have a dual boot laptop with Win8 and Win7. Every time the SSD had disappeared in the past, it created bad sectors and I had to do a Secure Erase which cleared the bad sectors/events and then reinstall Windows. Start it up and right click on Local Disk and clik on properties or something and run a disk checkup and reboot your computer. I hope that I can maybe get pointed in the right direction here.

Must I disable Fast Startup/Hybrid Boot for the scheduled chkdsk to work or something else? Note: I like a utility called 'chkdsk assist'. Tomorrow I'll try verifying this setting and manually setting the dirty flag to see if that triggers it.
There didn't seem to be any difference trying to run it from safe mode. I have tried unchecking and rechecking and changing scheduled times all to no avail. Thanks. From there you can run "chkdsk /r" manually as well.
